I feel very fortunate to have been asked to head up a fantastic new Maker Lab program here at Sacred Heart Cathedral High School.
"Maker Lab - what?" you ask.
Simply put, the Maker Lab is a place where you can come make stuff. Need a poster to promote Valentine sales? Need a hair tie for your hair falling in your face during finals? Looking for a robot to assist you with your home chores? Come to the Maker Lab.
Have you used a pencil and your brain before? Then the Maker Lab is for you. The Maker Lab is a place where art and science live together. It is a place to brainstorm, build, fail, re-build, tinker, dismantle, talk, hang, absorb, energize, work, play, stumble, stand, sit, preach, listen, communicate. A shared space for sharing.
Although our Maker Lab is just getting started we have big plans. Come over and check us out in room #705 (the old chorus room) on the De Paul Campus.
Next Tuesday Jan 29, during white period, come over a make an iPod/iPad holder to take home!
Looking forward to seeing you there!
