My Spidey

A gouache painting I did for my son from the 1967 Spiderman cartoon.  Here Spidey is swinging out of a Matisse and into a Picasso. Before Ralph Bakshi came to direct some wonderfully crazy story lines with his static but skillfully drawn animation some still frames were really wonderfully clunky. The proportions on the Spidey Picasso image are so off and so great.
